With a design in mind, and a special sapphire colour on their radar, Amne and Osman reached out for some help with their engagement ring. Here's the story of their custom made piece.
It all started with a colour.
Amne and Osman had a clear idea of their engagement ring design: a yellow gold ring, with a diamond halo, surrounding a feature blue sapphire. Not your 'typical' blue sapphire, but a beautiful shade of pale blue.
Thrilled by their idea, we began the journey of bringing it to life. First things first - the hunt was on for their centre gemstone.
Together, we selected a gem.
Determined to find the perfect sapphire for their piece, we looked at a range of sapphires. We considered a few different colours and sizes, some closer to target, some further away, to be sure we covered our bases. Amne and Osman were captivated by one particular gem, despite it being slightly deeper in colour to their original idea.
A beautiful shade of mid-blue, this gem had a brilliant sparkle. It worked so well alongside the warmth of the yellow gold band Amne had chosen. It was just the right gem for their ring.
Next, we decided on the details.
With a feature gem selected, it was time to pull together the remaining design details for Amne and Osman's piece. Our goal? To ensure the the sapphire took centre stage, and was complemented by the rest of the design.
We worked in Amne's preference for yellow gold into the main structure of the ring - the band. Together we tossed up some options for the halo, and decided on a style of 'setting' they both liked. For this, we landed on white gold, to make the most of the bright white brilliant cut diamonds it holds.
The result? An heirloom piece, with a difference.
Congratulations on your wedding, Amne and Osman!
