Beth and Brendan's engagement ring: A meteorite gemstone

An engagement ring marks a momentous time in your relationship. What better reason to choose an element for your engagement ring that represents your shared passions. Here is the story behind Beth and Brendan’s unique piece.

Brendan and Beth share a love of all things space.

When it came time to arranging a surprising engagement ring for Beth, Brendan knew that a special type of gem would be perfect for their ring. As a token of their of their shared interest in space, Brendan was after an engagement ring featuring a peridot. Though not just any peridot. One originating from a meteorite.

We sourced a beautiful pallasitic peridot.

Known to originate from meteorite, pallasitic peridot is a unique green coloured gemstone perfect for Brendan’s proposal. Together we selected a stunning round peridot to feature in the engagement ring.

Then, it was time to design the piece around it.

Brendan knew that Beth wouldn’t want a claw setting for her engagement ring, so we decided on a bezel setting to hold the peridot. Modern, elegant, and protective for the gem.
