At Harlequin Jewellers, we love bringing old jewellery back to life. So we were thrilled to re-create this piece.
The old design.
Previously belonging to Kristen's grandmother, she decided it was time for a change, to a design she would enjoy wearing. While she liked the style of the top of the ring, the design of the sides was outdated, and the setting was high, making it impractical to wear.
So, together we designed Kristen's new piece, reminiscent of the original ring.
The new design.
We kept the centre diamond in its original place, in a similar illusion setting, and made the ring a more practical height. For a little more sparkle, we substituted the small diamonds around the centre stone with slightly larger ones.
As for the leftover metal and beautiful old-cut diamonds, we turned these into a matching band.
The result? A delightful pair of wearable new rings.
